Age - How old are you now? When did you start your site?
I'm turning 17 in April (on the 17th), I started the site last
summer, when I was 16.
School and work status
You could consider me a "full time student" I'm on student council at my school, and I usually end up stayin there for hours after school.
ike get
withdrawl symptoms. Like I said I'm on student council, so that takes up
most of my free time during the week.
Hobbies - What do you like to do, besides keep this site, what clubs/organizations are you involved in?
I LUV clubbing! If I don't go for too long, I l
Location - Where are you from? Where are you now?
Born in Trinidad, lived there until I was 3, moved to Ontario
Canada.
Where do you work on your site? Home, school, library, other?
I work on my site from Home
How did you learn Web page design? Do you use HTML to create your site?
I learned how from the internet, and I had a little help from my friends
too.
Why did you start writing your Web site?
I was really bored for a couple of days in the summer, and I was on the
internet a lot.
Why do you write a site about you?
Honestly, I didn't have any other ideas to write about. So I figured my
best bet is to go with what I know. And who's better qualified to write
about me, than myself?
Do you communicate with readers of your site?
Ya, I'll reply to any e-mails that people want to leave me.
How much email feedback to you recieve from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
I don't get many e-mails from my site. It's pretty much all positive, just
basic compliments, which I do appreciate :)
Have you met any new friends because of the site?
Nope, haven't really made much of a connection with anyone I didn't already
know, although I would like to.
Has your motivation changed over time?
Ya, I could Definately say my motivation has changed. My site was
orignially just a page with a picture of me, so I could say "look I'm on the
internet." Now It's my place to vent my opinions, and share myself with as
many people as I can.
How has it changed your life?
I wouldn't say it has changed my life dramatically or anything. It's just
another way to express myself freely, and now whenever I take pics I'm
always in the mindset "I hope this comes out good, so I can put it on my
site." I also find it very therapeutic, and like doing it.
Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
My immediate family knows of my website, but I don't think they've actually
seen it, to read it. My friends and a bunch of people from my school know
about it. I've only had one negative experience with this person that I'm
not friends with anymore.
How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends?
Well, My website is very therapeutic for me, it lets me express myself, and
my opinions without judgement, or interruption, which isn't exactly the case
in real life. My friends seem to really like my site, and visit often.
If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
I wouldn't change a thing, it's through the mistakes I've made that I learn.
What are your favorite things on your site?
Probably the "My thoughts" section, it's a new thing for me, and I love it,
because it's practically the only place I can really express my opinion
freely.
When looking at other people's Web sites what do you look for as a viewer?
When I look at other people's sites I tend to really like to learn about the
people themselves, I luv to read online journals and stuff. I like sites
that make me think.
What is "one word" that would describe your site?
Honest
Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
I consider myself an exhibitionist :)
what can I say, I like to be "on display" in real life, and I guess it
carries through on the 'net as well.
How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
Well, I don't do anything too frustrating with my site, and my friend helps
me out with the hard stuff. So, no my site never bugs me.
Why do you think people are interested in you and what you have to say?
I don't really know. But I'm glad that there are people actually interested
in what I have to say, and not just how I look.
What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why do you write a Web site")?
Well, I'm a very visually oriented person, so naturally I'd want to make my
site appealing to the eye any way I can. I always tend to write from the
heart, because I see what we write as something to be remembered by, and I
don't wanna be remembered for writing garbage.
