Why did you start writing your Web site?
To visually communicate with the rest of our family in Kentucky, Tennesee and Florida.

Why do you write a site about your family?
Our world is our family.

Why do you post pictures of your children on your site?: Children are God's gifts to us and Grandchildren and God's Bonus Gifts to us.

Yes, but limited discussion. We stress more on our Grandkids, all 8 of them.

Do you and/or others in your family communicate with readers of your site?
Yes

How much email feedback do you recieve from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?

Email mostly as a lot will not Sign the Guestbook. Haven't figured that one out tho' and the comments are always very positive and complimentary even tho' it can be slow loading due to the amount of graphics.

Have you met any new friends because of the site?
Yes.

Has your motivation changed over time?
Yes, to do more with the site. The only discouraging thing has been NOT getting pictures from our relatives out of the state to add to our site.

Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
Yes. But getting pictures from out-of-state has been very hard.

How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?
Personal benefit. Friends enjoy it. Total strangers get directed to it by our daughter who is active on womens chat rooms.

If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change? : Possibly using Frames navigation instead of the Table based menu I employ now.

Our Grandkids http://www.roseandearl.com/grandkids.html and nanna's page at http://www.roseandearl.com/nanna.html also http://www.roseandearl.com/mothers.html

What do you look for in an personal Web site, as a viewer?: Interesting content and an insight to that person's perspective. It's like a picture into their mind. Graphics and pictures and plenty of them.

Fun

Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
A writer.

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
I use Everost 1st Page for primary design and utilizing styles from other web sites to give me ideas.

Why do you think people are interested in your family, what they do, and/or what they have to say?

I basically think that people are curious about other people, their family and their lives. Some are even more than a little curious. But, it's a way to share with the world, our family, our portrait on the web.

What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why do you write a Web site?")
The pleasure it brings us hearing about what others have to say about our site.
