Son Nezar is 3.5 yrs old and son Samir is 22 mos old.

What kind of work do you and your spouse do?: I am a stay-at-home mother and Mohamed is a salesman.

Hobbies - What do you like to do, besides keep this site?
I like to read, watch "old" movies, spend time with my children, needlepoint, and spend far too much time on the computer. :))

Where are you from?
Connecticut, USA

Where are you now?
Paris, France

Why did you start writing your Web site?: I was beginning to gather information about my family and in the planning stages for a reunion. I thought a website would fit into to whole "plan" for the family.

Why do you write a site about your family?
As a way of keeping in touch with everyone, sharing family information with everyone, and highlighting family events. Also, once I decided to move to Paris last summer, it became even a bigger project for me as a way of staying "connected" to all of my family in the United States.

Do you and/or others in your family communicate with readers of your site?
No, not any "outsiders", as of right now, the only readers of the site have been either family or close friends.

How much email feedback to you recieve from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
Any feedback that I have had so far about the site has all been positive.

Has your motivation changed over time? : If anything, my motivation for the site and maintaining it has only increased with time.

Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?

Yes, all of my family and some friends have seen the site. The site is about my family, not only immediate family, but my extended family. So, they have all been interested in seeing it, contributing to it and encouraging me about it. And everything has been so positive so far!

How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends?
If anything, it has made my bond to my family much stronger.

If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
At this point, I cannot think of anything that I would change.

What are your favorite things on your site?
I love all the pictures of everyone and I am especially proud of my "Paris Page" which I have created since living here (and it is constantly being updated).

What is "one word" that would describe your site?
Family

Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
No, I do not think of myself in any of these terms because to me, my site was created for my family and I am not sure that a whole lot of other people have seen it.

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.

I read *a lot* about web design and new techniques all the time. At one point, I wanted to add music to the site and was so frustrated that it would not work. Well, I searched and read until I found out how to make it work. And voila! It is there!!

What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why do you write a Web site?")
I want to share the "beautiful" things in life with everyone. I feel everyone should have some sort of beauty in their lives always!! :))
