Finding Friends - Meet friends on Orkut using the search feature or by joining communities.
Old Friends - There is a search bar that you can use to search for old friends. If you use quotes around the name of your high school you can find other Orkut members that went to that school. You can search for and invite friends using their name and email address.
New Friends - Using the search bar you can search for friends using different phrases.
Connect to Friends - Add new friends right from their profile page.
Forums - There are forums in the communities. Join a community of people with interests similar to yours and chat with them in the forum.
Groups - Called communities you can join some on many different subjects. When you join a community you will be kept updated on events of the community and be able to participate in the forum.
Chat room - No chat rooms.
Live Chat (Instant Messaging) - Use Google Chat to talk with your Orkut friends. When you enable this service on your Orkut profile people will be able to IM you right from your profile. This is done in the profile editor in the "contact" section.
Subscriptions - When you join communities or add someone as a bookmark you will be able to keep up with what's going on with them.
Friends Lists - Your friends list is right on your profile page for all to see.
Comments On Blogs And Profiles - Add to other people's scrapbook. Tell them what you think about them and their profile.
