- A Cat By Any Other Name
There are lots of good things about the Web site design on this page.- Title - Catchy, don't you think. Makes you wonder what it's about. Gets you to click on it to find out.
- Columns - Side column used to break the page up a little and make it not so plain.
- Color - Relaxing. The columns are close to the same color but not the same. They compliment each other very well.
- Navigation - Main pages are listed at the bottom of each page so they are not in the way but still in plain site. At the bottom of the main page are links to other people's sites. The main page has the links right in the middle to her most recent entries.
- Content - Updated every 2-3 days. If you like what you see you'd probably want to come back a couple days a week to find out what's new. There is a page called "Who" that tells all about her and what the site is about. It's very detailed and by the time you are finished reading it you will know all about who she is and may even be interested in knowing more.
- Title - The name is perfect for an online diary. Not only is it catchy but it also makes you feel like you're going to read something life changing on this site.
- Columns - Two columns. One used for the main pages and one used for navigation. There is also a wave between them which really adds to the look and feel of the page.
- Color - The main page uses a color that stands out and the letters are black outlined with white. This makes it easy to read.
- Navigation - No matter where you go on the site you will see that left column and always be able to get back to the beginning.
- Content - Updated often and each day has it's own title. The "About" page is a list of questions and answers about him and this site.
- The Bone Garden Estate
Uses an entry page to give you the feel of the site before you enter it. Turn on your sound, this will help with the whole experience.- Title - It's a Halloween site about a virtual haunted house so the name is fitting and fun.
- Columns - One column, but she makes it work by strategically placing pictures throughout, placing text in the middle and shortening the column.
- Color - Dark. It really sets the mood so you are ready to explore haunted house. The letters are a bright color so they are easy to read but not too bright.
- Navigation - As though you are walking through a house. You are taking a tour so you click on doors and see the different rooms. A link at the bottom of each page will take you back to the "Foyer" and another will give you an "Estate Map" so you can choose your room.
- Content - Not much in the way of written content but it's fun to "walk" through the house and the museum and click on things. You can click on more than just doors. Some things bring you to other Web sites where you can get information and other things do something.
