Mafia Wars Becoming "Cult Classic"

Friday July 3, 2009

According to Alexander Sliwinski at joystiq Mafia Wars, an online game by Zynga, now has over 4 million players and has doubled the number of players in just the past couple months.

Mafia Wars can be played by logging in from both Facebook and MySpace. You play it with your friends and they become part of your mafia. Together you can gang up on other people or other gangs.

Mainly you try to make money by doing jobs or by fighting. You can also make money by buying properties. This is an easy way to make money because you make money every hour or so continuously, even when you're not playing.

The more jobs you do, the more you move up the mafia ranks. The game, surprisingly, takes a little thought and skill to really make the big money. I thought it was just another mindless Facebook app game until my son taught me a few tricks.

What do you think of Mafia Wars?

I love the game, only been playing it about 2 months, but absolutely love it. It does take skill and reasoning, keeps the brain power flowing lol
