Pros and Cons

By Linda Roeder, About.com

Yahoo! 360° gives you a social networking site run by Yahoo!. Access all your Yahoo! things from your Yahoo! 360° profile and make friends all at the same time. Connect to a Yahoo! music service, write a blog, add friends, create a photo album, create a Yahoo! 360° profile, join groups and more.

Pros

  • Blog: Yahoo! 360° has a very nice blog feature to it. It has all you would want from a blog. Add photos and let people add comments.

  • Photo Album: Great photo album feature. Together with Flickr you can create a fabulous online photo album and connect it to your Yahoo! 360° profile.

  • LAUNCHcast: Share music with your friends. Create a LAUNCHcast page and let people know what kind of music you like and rate your favorite songs and albums. Your LAUNCHcast page will be linked from your Yahoo! 360° profile.

Cons

  • No Coding: You can change the way your Yahoo! 360° profile page looks using Yahoo! 360°'s templates and you can even add graphics right to your profile background but you can't use your own code to create your own template.

  • No Forums or Chat Rooms: Besides IM and email there is no easy way to communicate with friends you want to talk to.

  • No Video or Music Database: You can not add music or video directly to your Yahoo! 360° profile.
