Microsoft has done a very good job with this program. It is so easy to learn and use that almost anyone could create a Web page with it. Almost everything you will ever need has been made into a button and added to the menu bar at the top. Putting everything at your fingertips makes creating your page fast and easy. {See what the top bar looks like.}
Using FrontPage does have a few problems though. First of all, whenever you use any WYSIWYG progam to edit your Web pages you loose some control over your code. This version of FrontPage does allow you quite a bit of control, more than the old version but it still shifts the code around so it is harder to read if someone had the inkling to do so. It also adds a lot of unnecessary codes and blank spaces.
As I mentioned above, another problem is that not all hosting services can support pages made with FrontPage. You may have to do some searching to find one that does and also offers everything else you want in a hosting provider.
One problem you will run into is that some of the codes that are inserted onto your page may make some of your work difficult to read for someone using Netscape or other browsers. You would have this problem even if you coded the page yourself if you were not aware that some things are cross-browser compatible.
The biggest thing that may keep you from purchasing this product is the price. There are so many free editors that you can download online so why would you want to buy something that is fairly expensive? The reason is that if you want to create really good pages really fast and without having to learn HTML then it is well worth the money. The time you save alone may be worth the cost.
These problems are minor though. Despite them this is still the best program around to use when creating your Web pages. Many large companies use it because it is so easy to use and because you can do so much with it so quickly and you can too.
