Add Buttons

Another thing you may want to add to your page is called a hover button. This is simply a button that when clicked on takes your reader to another page or site.

To add one of these to your page click on the same button as you clicked on to add the counter except this time when the menu pulls down you will need to click on where it says "Hover Button". Then you will get a box with a bunch of options. {See what it looks like}

First you will need to enter the text that you want written on the hover button and choose the font you want this text written in. Then you will need to tell it where the hover button should link to. Then choose the color of the button and the background. Next choose an effect. These are things like glow and bevel that make the button look different. You will also need to choose a color for the effect. Lastly pick a height and width for your button. Now click "OK".

Now you have a button that will take your readers where you want them to go. You can use these in a series on the side of your page to show people all the things on your site or you can use them to take your readers to fun and interesting places online.

Use Themes

Themes are great to use if you want all your pages to have exactly the same format or if you just want an easy click and type way to create your pages. A theme is a pre-formatted page where you just have to fill in the blanks.

FrontPage comes with 13 different themes and the ability to add your own. To use a theme to create your page just click on "Format" then go down to "Theme" and click. You will be given a list of the different themes available to you and by clicking on them you will be able to see what they look like. {See what it looks like} When you have chosen the one you want to use just click on "OK" and start filling out your new page.

Tables

A table allows you to have information listed horizontally as well as vertically. This is useful if you want to show how some things compare to other things like you would on a chart. Adding a table with FrontPage is very easy.

To add a table to your page you will need to click on the button that looks like a graph with the lines that go both directions and when you hold the mouse button over it, it says "Insert Table". A menu will come down that looks like a bunch of squares, this is so you can choose the amount of boxes your table will need. Highlight the amount of boxes you want and click.

The table will appear on your page. Now you just need to click inside one of the boxes and type in the information you want there.

The other way to add a table with FrontPage is to click on the word "Table" at the top of the program then, when the menu pulls down, go down to "Insert" and over to "Table" and click. You will then be given options for adding the amount of rows and columns you want in your table as well as the ability to designate the alignment, width, border size, padding and spacing for the table. {See what it looks like} Fill all this in, click "OK" and you will have a table on your page ready to fill out.
