Step 15 - Publish & Edit
You are finally satisfied with your site so far. It has come to a point in its life where it is ready to be viewed by the world, and you are ready to set it free. This is probably the easiest thing about this whole program.
After you have spell-checked and grammar-checked everything (neither included) and made sure that everything looks just great, then click on the icon that says "Publish Site". You will be asked to give your site a name. This name will become part of your site's address, so think carefully. Make it both descriptive and simple.
The next page will tell you "Congratulations! Your web site has been published." You will get the address of your site and will be given several options:
- Announce your Site - Send the address of your site along with a message to all your friends. Let them all know that you have created a Web site and they are invited to come and take a look.
- Rate Your Site Builder Experience - Fill out a form telling the designer of the program what you think of it. Did you like it? Did you hate it? Why?
- View my site - Go to your site and see how it looks for real. No "Edit" buttons, no bar at the bottom of the screen and the address in your browser is the real one. Congratulations!
- Edit my site - Does your site need more editing? Go ahead; after all, a Web site is never really finished. As long as your life goes on, so does your site. It should be updated often so your readers will always have something new to read.
- Create a New Site - Want to create another site? Maybe on a different topic? It's all up to you.
