Step 14 - Site Organizer
There is a really handy icon at the bottom of your screen called "Site Organizer". When you click on this, you will be brought to a page that has all your pages listed in the order that they show in your page list one each page.
From this page, you can do many wonderful things:
- Site Category - On the right side of the screen is a place where you can choose the categories that best fit your site. This will help people interested in sites like yours to find your site. You can choose up to three categories to place your site in.
- Copy - Copy the page to make an exact duplicate.
- Delete - Delete the entire page.
- Move - Change the order of the pages in the list.
- Design - When you click on "Design" you will be give a whole bunch of design choices to choose from to make your page look better.
- Overall Design - Change the design of the homepage and any other page that is using the same design on your site.
- Layout - Change the way a page is laid out. Do you want everything in a straight row, two columns, three columns, offset columns?
- View Page - If you click on the title of the page, you will be brought to the page where you can edit that page.
Use this often to make your site look better and to keep it organized. If you rearrange the links, then your readers will be able to find things on your site easier. If you change the design and layout to match the content of certain pages, it may also make for a better user experience.
