Why would you want to give people objects in Second Life? Maybe one of your friends likes something you have and you want to give it to them. Maybe you want to give a gift to someone. Maybe someone did something for you and you want to give them something special. These are just a few ideas.
If you have an item in your inventory and you want to give it to someone else first you'll need to open the options circle by right clicking on your own avatar and then clicking on the "Friends" button.
