When did you start your site?
In 1997.
Marital Status?
Married for over 12 years.
Occupation - What kind of work do you do?
Web designer.
Hobbies - What do you like to do, besides keep this site?
Reading and writing as an absolute passion for me. I also enjoy painting.
Location - Where are you from? Where are you now?
Why did you start writing your Web site?
I had gone through a very difficult time in my life. I came out of it with a lot of answers. I thought others might benefit from the answers I found in regards to happiness, acceptance, awareness, love and starting over.
Do you communicate with readers of your site?
Sometimes.
How much email feedback do you receive from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
I get about 1-3 responses a week from people and about 100,000 hits a month. Most of the feedback is words of appreciate for me having the site online.
Has your motivation changed over time?
Not really, although because of the feedback I have received, I'm considering writing a book.
Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
Interesting question. Although I haven't promoted the site to my family, I haven't kept it a secret from them either. If they read the site they'd definitely know a lot more about me. The one's who HAVE read some of it don't say much which I find odd.
How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?
According to the feedback I'm getting from people, it appears to help them.
What are your favorite things on your site?
The two most popular sections of my site are Happiness and Love/Relationships
When looking at other people's Web sites what do you look for as a viewer?
Honesty and openness.
Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
I've been considering myself more and more as an author. I never knew I had this ability.
How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
I AM a web designer by trade, so this wasn't really a challenge. The biggest hurtle was designing a site that encompassed a variety of topics.
Why do you think people are interested in you and what you have to say?
To be honest, I don't know! Perhaps if they read something that helps them understand themselves better, they feel a sense of connection with me?
What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why write a Web site")?
My desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.
