Why did you start writing your Web site?
Looked like fun and I wanted to learn how to do it.

WHY do you write a site about your pets?
They are my favorite things in life.

Currently, we have 6 dogs (Duke a Great Dane, Rex a lab mix, Baby a chow/lab mix, Caesar and English Mastiff, Yo-yo a lab mix, and Grinch a lab mix), 13 cats (Boy, Girl, Dapple, Savage, Mr. Chow, Buttercup, Blossom, Bubbles, Dexter, Deedee, MojoJojo, J, and M), 1 hedgehog (Henry), 1 tiger salamander (Godzilla), 3 red-ear slider turtles (Worm, Him, and Her), 5 toads (not named), 1 fired-bellied toad (not named), 1 bullfrog (not named), 1 leopard frog (not named), 5 rubber eels (not named), 5 freshwater moray eels (not named), 1 alligator (Humphrey), 4 koi, 1 red-bellied pacu, 1 red oscar, 1 catfish, 2 silver dollars, 3 gourami, 2 tinfoil barbs, 2 purple parrots, 1 clown knife, 1 ghost knife, 2 silver needlenose gar, about 200 various African and South American cichlids, 4 plecos, 1 clown loach, 4 tiger barbs, 1 rosy barb, 4 black skirted tetras, about 20 guppies, 1 goldfish, 2 diamond tetras, one unknown type of loach, 2 giant danios, one headlight tetra, one unknown type tetra, 1 marroon clownfish, 1 green chromis, 1 green scat, 2 blue-leg hermit crabs, and 1 sea urchin. I hope I didn't leave anyone out. New pets are coming all the time

Keep pets, especially exotics, read, watch tv/movies, collect Barbie dolls, collect pig figurines, and visit with friends and family.

Pets hobbies - What do your pets like to do?
This could get really long. Duke, Rex and Baby like to chase cars and play in the woods where there is a natural spring and small creek nearby. Caesar and Yo-yo like to stay alert and bark at anything and everything near the house.

What kinds of things do you discuss about you pets on your site?
Right now, I just have photos of them, but in the future I hope to add more information about them individually and information about keeping the kinds of animals we have as pets.

Do you and/or others in your family communicate with readers of your site?
I receive some emails from people who visit my sites and I always try to respond.

How much email feedback to you recieve from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
I have only receive a couple of emails about my animal sites, but they were positive.

Have you met any new friends because of the site?
Yes

Yes, I am more motivated to add content to the site and not just have an online photo album.

Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
Yes they all know about it and because we have so many friends overseas it has been a great way for them to see what is going on here now. There have been no negative experiences so far, except I accidentally posted a secret recipe of my Mother's and had to hurry and take it down.

HOW has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?

If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
I would like to change my design style and add more information.

What are your favorite things on your site?
I love seeing my babies online and knowing that others can see how cute they are.

I look for pictures to compare the develepment of my pets against others and information on behavior, diet, etc.

What is "one word" that would describe your site?
Pictures.

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
I am still working on that.

Why do you think people are interested in your pets and what they do?
Some people can't have pets of their own and some people have the same kinds and like to compare appearance at different stages (make sure they are growing properly), and just to see what other people keep for pets.
