Pets hobbies - What do your pets like to do?
aside from 18 hours of meditation every day, Monday likes to chase bugs, roll in catnip, eat smelly fishy things and snuggle with her human Mom and Dad

Location - Where are you from? Where are you now?
in the suburbs of New York City, about 30 miles from Manhattan.

Why did you start writing your Web site?
Monday wanted her own website and Monday always gets what she wants :-) Seriously, I enjoy communicating with others through creative projects... photos, stories, artwork... and I love life in cyberspace so how could I NOT start a website?!

WHY do you write a site about your pets?
Cats inspire me, Monday especially.

What kinds of things do you discuss about you pets on your site?

I'm an amateur photographer so there are a lot of pictures, and I'm an avid reader so there's also a page of feline-related quotations. There's also a large section on animal welfare issues and a virtual healing circle/forum where people can ask for prayers/healing energy for their sick cats (I'm a second degree Reiki healer) And for those furbabies who have crossed "The Rainbow Bridge", there's a memorial page. And Monday wants to make sure I remind everyone about the Society of Meditative Cats, our club for felines and feline-friendly humans.

Do you and/or others in your family communicate with readers of your site?
Yes, through the forum, guestbooks and e-mail.

How much email feedback to you recieve from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
Mostly positive. I've found that websurfers are generally a friendly, openminded lot :-)

Have you met any new friends because of the site?
many!

Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
When I first set up this site, I was the only one in my offline circle of family and friends who had a homepage... or had any desire to have one, LOL! Most of them still haven't taken the cyberplunge but my husband John has ... he's built a wonderful site about solar house design and other environmental issues. I haven't really had any negative experiences but some of my friends and family think I'm a little, uh, eccentric for spending so much time on my site. But then they've always thought I was a little eccentric, LOL!bsp;

HOW has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?
It's been a wonderful creative outlet for me and has brought a lot of new friends into my life. And it's especially rewarding to receive letters from fellow cat lovers who were helped by our healing circle or inspired to adopt a cat of their own, get involved with animal welfare issues, or build a tribute page for their own beloved pet.
