After you log in you will want to create folders to put your Web pages and other Web site files into so you can keep your Web site organized. You should keep your graphics separated from your Web pages and from your audio and your other files.

If you have some Web pages about your family and other's about your hobbies you may want to create separate folders to keep them in too. This will make finding them when you need to make changes easier.

Another way to organize your Web pages is by date. Maybe you want to keep your older Web pages in a separate folder from your newer ones. How you organize your site depends on what kind of Web site you are running.

To create a new folder click on the "MkDir" button all the way on the right side of the FTP program. A box will pop up where you can add the name of the folder.

You can add folders inside folders if you want to further organize your Web pages and other files.
