FTP is the main way to transfer files from one computer to another. Using an FTP program is usually necessary to do this.

Once you have uploaded an FTP program you will need to set it up. Go to your new hosting service and get some information to enter into your FTP program. You will need to know their Host Name or Host Address. You also need to find out if they have a Remote Host Directory, many don't. The other things you will need are the Username and Password you use to log into your hosting service.
