While creating your MySpace group you will be asked a series of questions to help you set up your group the way you want it set up.

  • Group Name - Give your group a name, whatever you want it to be known by.

  • Category - Choose the category that best fits your group.

  • Open Join - If you want to let anyone join your group click Yes. If you want to approve people who join first then click No.

  • Hidden Group - If you want to keep your group private click Yes. You will have to invite people to join because no one will be able to see it otherwise.

  • Members Can Invite - If you want to let members of your group to invite other people to join the group click Yes. If you want to be the only person who can invite people click No.

  • Public Forum - To let anyone post to your group click Yes.

  • Members can Post Bulletins - If you want to let all your members post to the group page then click Yes. If you want to be the only one who can post to the group click No.

  • Members can Post Images - Let members post images click Yes.

  • Mature Content - If your group will be posting things that kids should not read click Yes.

  • Country, City, State/Region, Zip Code - If your group is for local people this will come in handy.

  • Short Description - Enter a paragraph or more telling people what this group is for and what you expect to see here. Tell them what they can expect when they sign up for your group.

  • Description - Enter a longer description if you want. This is where you can enter any HTML you want to add for your group page. (We'll come back to this later).

  • URL - Give your group a unique URL name. This is what people will type into the address bar to get to your group.

  • Click "Create Group".
