Ready to do a Gift Swap? Facebook makes it easy with this fun game. This is how it works. First you add a gift to the Facebook gift swap. Then you pick one up and open it. This is when the fun begins. You don't get to keep the gift you opened. You have to swap it.
Your friends will try to take it from you and swap what they have for what you have. You can do the same to them. Then whatever you have left on December 25 at 12AM EST is what you get.
There's a surprise hidden in the game though. There's a mystery gift from Gifts.com that you could end up winning.
Unwrap a Gift
- Go to the Gift Swap application page on Facebook. Click the "Add Application" button. On the next page click the "Add Gift Swap" button.
- You can either unwrap a new gift found under the Facebook gift tree, or you can steal a gift from one of your friends. For this tutorial I'm going to unwrap a new gift from under the tree. We'll steal something later. If you've decided to follow along with me and also unwrap a gift from under the Facebook gift tree, click the "Unwrap a Gift" button.
- Before you can get a gift from the Facebook gift tree, you must first give a gift. Choose a gift from the large selection of gifts before you to put under the Facebook gift tree.
- Now you get to select your gift from the Facebook gift swap tree. Click on the "Unwrap a Gift" button to get a gift and unwrap it.
Steal a Gift
- Now that you have your own Facebook gift swap gift, let's steal someone else's. Click on the "Steal a Gift" button to steal a gift from one of your friends.
- To get back into the Facebook gift swap game after you've finished playing click on the "More" link in the menu on the left side of your Facebook page. Then click on "Gift Swap". Then click the "Steal a Gift" button.
- Choose a friend's gift to steal and steal it from them. They'll get your gift and you'll get theirs.
