If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
I suppose one is never REALLY finished their pages, but I did not have my many pages perfectly tweaked before posting them to the web. Probably some of my mistakes have annoyed surfers. I keep going back over the site page by page by page, and staying up until 3 am. trying to improve them. Who wants to be a laughing stock?

What are your favorite things on your site?
I'm a humble sort of person, so maybe your readers just have to take a look. I love my home and area, so several pages linked to my index page have information, links and images with "local" (mountains, valley, wildlife) flavour. But I like my pet pages, too, and the Homespun Annie "subsite".

When looking at other people's Web sites what do you look for as a viewer?
I appreciate sites that share SOME personal insight, information, and emotion. I don't need to know specifically where the owner lives, but knowing the country and maybe state or province usually enhances the whole enjoyment of the site. Then, links and images, too, of course are nice. Like many surfers, I'm upset when photos have not been optimized for web viewing and therefore are slow to load.

What is "one word" that would describe your site?
DIVERSE But I might also have said, "friendly".

Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
None of the above, lol. However, I'm a little proud of myself because the things that were driving me to tears in October are now everyday stuff to me, so at least I learned something this winter. The site is ALL I have to show for this, but it's a little accomplishment in itself.

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
I used to cry quite a lot over the so-called idiot proof programs that I could NOT understand, and even the raw beginner's lessons in HTML. Some days I would only surf around trying to find more tutorials. I don't know when things started to "click", but they did. At times, I've had to shut off the computer and go for a walk, or the computer itself would have ended up in the yard.

Why do you think people are interested in your interest or hobby and what you have to say about it?
Maybe I think most folks who love animals, gardening and the beautiful mountains and countryside are very warm, good-hearted people. As far as crafts go, we can be good people without being clever at crafts or art, but it is nice to share.

What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why write a Web site")?
I suppose my modest success at building a page, at first, fostered interest in building more. It really snowballed on me, but hopefully soon I'll be satisfied with the pages to the point that I can leave them alone long enough to garden and enjoy summer walks and so on.
