Why did you start writing your Web site?
What is your site about?
My husband and I started creating our garden of Eden in our wrinkly years. The story of building our dream garden is told with humor and great garden photos
Why do you write a site about your garden?
I like to share my gardening knowledge and meet with gardeners from all over the world, and hear about their gardens and gardening experiences
Do you communicate with readers of your site?
Yes. I have had American visitors come and see our gardens through the wonderful world of the Internet
How much email feedback do you receive from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
Some email, quite often following the signing of a guest book. Always positive
Have you met any new friends because of the site?
Yes
Has your motivation changed over time?
It has increased with the enjoyment I have experienced
How has it changed your life?
Yes. I probably spend too much time on the computer but always leave enough time for the family and the children. It has been a great joy since retiring from other work
Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
Yes & No negative feelings. They like to see me kept busy and active in my elderly years
How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?
My social friends complain that I am never off the phone, so I do see them less

Why do you think people are interested in your interest or hobby and what you have to say about it?
Gardening is a sharing and a loving and a creative persuit that is shared by folk in every country of the world. The Internet has given us gardeners many exciting avenues to explore. From the time I started to be curious about this new experience of connecting to the rest of the globe which was at my fingertips [including my green thumb], the Internet world of gardeners has expanded at an extraordinary rate. It is thrilling to be part of this new, knowledge exchange
What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why write a Web site")?
I love writing and as I always "write from the heart", I experience great happiness when I share my writings with other garden lovers
