Why did you start writing your Web site?

Got sidetracked while writing a novel ...

Why do you write a site about humor and jokes?
Creative outlet ...

20 or so each week; all positive (so far !!)

Have you met any new friends because of the site?
Absolutely and from all over the world !

Has your motivation changed over time?
Somewhat; am wondering how far I can take this crazy vehicle and have already registered a domain name for the future.

How has it changed your life?
Obviously, I'm spending more time on the internet and doing offline research ...

Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
All my friends and family are regular visitors .. so far, everybody is still speaking to me !!

How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?

Have a new, creative outlet and am making some change on click throughs. The main benefit has been bringing lots of friends and family together ...

If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
I can't think of anything ...

What are your favorite things on your site?
I feature many regular columns and I always try to find the zaniest links to amuse and entertain ! The picture I have attached is part of an on-going featured column called "Frank's Alpaca"..the trials and tribulations of my darling son who 'was born with an Alpaca imbedded in his abdomen' .. P.S....I did mention this is pretty wacky stuff, didn't I ??

When looking at other people's Web sites what do you look for as a viewer?
Interesting text (content) and a minimal amount of busy graphics !

What is "one word" that would describe your site?
Zany (although I have been called 'demented' by many !!

All of the above !

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
I am presently using an AOL-supplied page designer which is extremely frustrating at times. I just keep plugging away !! However, I can see the need for offline editing and am exploring several alternatives for future use. Otherwise, my goal is 'K.I.S.S.' - Keep It Simple Stupid !

Why do you think people are interested in the humor and jokes you write about?
People visiting my site find humorous content which is updated weekly. They return each week to see 'what's next'.. I think my crazy sense of humor is what most interests my visitors ...

What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why write a Web site")?
The Internet certainly 'levels the playing field' for anyone and everyone. I like the fact that I have complete freedom to express my individual sense of humor and creativity and, I've learned, I am entertaining my friends and family ! I really love working on and planning 'next' weeks edition !!
