If you are then you will love this site. It's called Site Point and it is full of helpful and informative things for the aspiring Web master to learn from.

Within this site they have a section for building your site. This section is where you will want to be if you want to know how to do any kind of Web design. It doesn't just have tutorials. It also has articles, directories, reviews, tools and a forum all to help you design your site. In this section you will find tutorials on HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, ASP, XML, CSS, Perl/CGI, SSI and graphics. Along with these tutorials you will also find help with Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash 4 and reference material that will help any Web designer design better.

The HTML tutorial starts out by showing the basic structure of a Web page and goes on to show you ways to align your text and change color and text styles. It explains how to add links to your pages including email links so people can send you emails. It also shows how to add graphics and how to make the graphics clickable so they will not only convey a message to your readers but will take them to another page that conveys that message even better. You will learn how to add background images, tables, forms and everything else you need to create a Web page.

All of these tutorials are written in a step by step, easy to follow format and are very complete.
