Set Up Your Google Sites Website

Begin building your Google Sites website by first going to the Google Sites homepage. Then click on the blue button that says "Create Site".

On the next page you will need to fill in a few things.

  1. Name Your Website - What do you want your website to be called. Don't just call it Joe's Website, give it a unique name that will make people want to read it.

  2. URL Address - Make the your website's address easy to remember so your friends can find it easily, even if they lost the bookmark.

  3. Site Description - Tell a little about you and your website. Describe to the people coming to your website what they'll find as they browse around and read it.

  4. Mature Content? - If your website contains adult only material, then you need to click on this option.

  5. Who To Share With - Make your site public to the whole world, or only make it viewable to the people you choose. It's up to you how you want to run your Google Sites website.
