Why did you start writing your Web site?
I was suffering from a chronic illness and into the 2nd year I could feel myself slipping into a depression. I needed to occupy my mind and do something positive with my life so I turned to the internet.
Do you and/or others in your family communicate with readers of your site?
I communicate with my readers on a regular basis.
How much email feedback do you recieve from your site? Is it mainly positive or negative?
I receive up to 10 emails a day ..Mostly positive and some ask me to assist them in various crisis situations. The latter are people who have been loyal readers for almost the 3 years that my site has been up.
Have you met any new friends because of the site?
I have met many new friends because of my site!
Has your motivation changed over time?
My readers motivate and inspire me constantly.
Do your friends and family know you keep this site/read it? If so have you had any really negative experiences as a result? If not why?
Yes, all of my friends and family know of my site..They have read many of my pages and all are very supportive and encouraging.
How has your Web site benefited you? Your friends? Or total strangers?
My site has allowed be to help others. To let people know that in times of despair and loneliness that there is always hope and we are all blessed with many wonderful things. Sometimes we just can see our blessings until some of the fog has lifted in our lives.
If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
Not a thing..
What are your favorite things on your site?
I love all the things on my site. Poems, short stories, the animated messages.. All have a very special meaning to me. People have submitted their own personal writings for me to publish and I am very proud to make special pages just for them.
What do you look for in an personal Web site, as a viewer?
I look for the warmth and specialness of the web master in his/her site. If that shines through then I am more inclined to visit longer and return often.
Integrity.
Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
I just consider myself a very ordinary person who simply wants to lend support through various pieces of writing. To hopefully help people through trying times and to also, if at all possible make someone smile!
Motivation mostly. Knowing that from my own experiences I can find something positive to pass on to others and then hope that just one person will read a piece of writing, either by me or an unknown author and they get something from it... Something which can carry them through that day or many days.
