Facebook Is Going To Shut You Down?

From , former About.com Guide

You won't even know what hit you when you receive this message from Facebook telling you that they're shutting down your Facebook profile. It'll just happen. You'll get a message saying that you've violated Facebook's terms of service.

This message comes with a link so you can find out why you're being shut down. It's all a hoax though. None of it is true. Facebook's not really closing your account.

Before you get comfortable though, if you received this message, you've not only been hoaxed, you've also been spammed, and this spam has a worm in it.

If you clicked on the link so you could find out what you were reported for, the hackers instantly received access to your Facebook profile's personal information. This includes your friend list. Then they sent all your friends the same message.

Stop This From Happening From You

Don't believe everything you read. If you receive a message like this, report it to Facebook. If you think it's for real, email Facebook directly and ask them what's going on. Don't click on any links.
