What Is Wesabe?
Wesabe is an online site that allows you to upload information from your bank and credit card accounts so that you can see what you spend your money on. Add tags on Wesabe to each entry from your accounts (ie. groceries, movies, fast food). Each tag you add to your Wesabe account gets you more tips on how to save money or organize your finances. Add your own tips to Wesabe to help other people with their finances too.
What Your Personal Wesabe Page Does?
Create your own Wesabe page where other Wesabe members can come and read your tips or see your goals. Join your goals with other people's goals on Wesabe and help each other. Click on your Wesabe tip tags and read tips from other people. If they join one of your Wesabe goals then you can share ideas with each other. You can subscribe to their Wesabe tips and they can subscribe to yours. Then you can read each other's Wesabe tips from your RSS readers.
You and other Wesabe members can blog with each other's Wesabe tips to help you both reach your financial goals. You can also get tips about your favorite stores by using the name of the store as a tag on Wesabe. When you join the same Wesabe goal as another person or a group you can blog with them about tips to help you all reach your goals. Security on Wesabe (This is important!)
I know what you're thinking. "I'm going to upload my checking and credit card information to Wesabe?" The only thing you're uploading to Wesabe are the names of the transactions and the amounts of the transactions, nothing else. There is no personal information revealed to Wesabe. Also, no one will be able to see your Wesabe account information except you. Other people can read your Wesabe tips and see what your tags are but they can't see the transactions those tags or tips are attached to. They will only see what you write and not your personal information. Wesabe claims to be completely safe and secure.
Uploading Your Information To Wesabe
You can upload your account information to Wesabe two different ways.
- From the Wesabe Site - Download your account information to your computer from your bank. Then use the Wesabe site to upload the information from your computer. Simple.
- Wesabe Uploader - Download the Wesabe Uploader and use it to upload your bank account information to your Wesabe site for you. Also simple.
