Finding Friends - Find other people with the same interests as you. Gather uses tags so you can add tags to your profile so others can find you using your tags. When you are searching for friends you can look for a tag or use search to search for a tag to find people who have the same interests as you.
Old Friends - You can search by name if you are looking for old friends but there is no search by school name or work place.
New Friends - Search for people by name, username, email or location.
Connect to Friends - Once you find someone you want to connect with you can add them to your friends list.
Forums - When comments are used it can sometimes seem like a forum. It's not like a real forum though.
Groups - You can join groups or subscribe to them. There are all kinds of groups so find one you like and join. The groups are full of articles you can read and pictures you can look through.
Chat room - Someone told me there was chat here but I couldn't find it, or mention of it, anywhere.
Live Chat (Instant Messaging) - There is no IM.
Subscriptions - If you don't want to add them to your friends list you can still subscribe to them. When you subscribe you can see their content from your profile page.
Friends Lists - Once you add them to your friends list you can see the articles and images they've posted from your profile page. You can choose which notifications you receive from your Settings.
Comments On Blogs And Profiles - Comments can be left on articles and images. You can see the comments you've left to other people from your profile page too.

- Adult content is allowed - You can choose whether you can see adult content or not from your settings. You need to be 18 or older to view adult content.
