Parents Permission Policy
From Gather's Terms of Service page:
- "Gather is concerned about the safety and privacy of all its users, particularly children. For this reason, you must be at least 13 years of age to access and view the Service. In addition, please be aware that Gather has created certain areas on the Service that contain adult or mature content. You must be at least 18 years of age to access and view such areas."
Profile Page - Write articles or link to articles that other's have written from your Gather profile page. Add your own photos and artwork or see what other's have done. Add comments to other people's articles or images. Join a group, find friends or make new friends.
The profile page shows these things each on different lines. You can not change the colors, layouts or background. You can add articles, subscriptions, photos and other things to make it look more personal. Add information about you to your profile from the "Edit Profile" section such as your favorite things, clubs and hobbies, companies you've worked for or schools you've attended and more.
Photos - Upload photos, artwork or other graphics. They must be JPG format, can not be larger than 1.5Mb and must not be under copyright by someone else.
Blog - Instead of having a blog it has a place to add articles. After all, this is a site for authors, writers, bloggers and photographers. Other people can then add comments to your articles, add it to digg or del.icio.us, print it, send it to a friend and rate it. Your last few articles will show up on your profile page.
Advanced Design - There is no way to edit the way your Gather profile looks.
