One of the biggest holidays in the US is Halloween. From September into November Halloween is celebrated all over the country. There are corn mazes, haunted houses, parties, jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin pies and Halloween decorations everywhere to be seen during the Halloween season.

It's no different on the Net. Halloween websites are very popular. Design a Halloween Web page and add lots of fun to your overall personal Website. Design a Halloween Web page to be scary and give your readers a shock. Or if you prefer you can design a Halloween Web page to be fun with lots of activities for people to do. It's your website, so make it whatever you want it to be.

Before You Design a Halloween Web Page

If you don't already have a personal website, you'll need to start one before you can design a Halloween Web page. First you'll need to choose a Web hosting provider for your website. The Web host is where your website will live on the Internet.

Next you'll need to decide which type of personal website you want to create. Then create your personal website from start to finish. There are a few Web design tips you'll want to follow while creating your personal website to ensure that your website is something people are going to want to read.

Things To Add When You Design a Halloween Web Page

There are some things you may, or may not, want to include when you design a Halloween Web page. This all depends on what type of Halloween Web page you want to create.

Will you design a Halloween Web page to be all fun and games, more of a history of Halloween, or will you design a Halloween Web page that will scare the socks off your readers? Here are some ideas you can use when you design a Halloween Web page.

  • A Good Title - A good title can go a long way to whether your Halloween Web page becomes popular or not. Make your title something catchy so people won't be able to resist coming to your Halloween Web page to see what it's all about.

  • What Is Halloween? - Remember, the Internet is global. Some of the people that come to your Halloween Web page may not know what Halloween is. Tell them.

  • Halloween History - Even people who celebrate Halloween often don't know the history behind the holiday. Read up on it and write a Halloween history for your Halloween Web page.

  • How Halloween's Celebrated - Everyone celebrates Halloween a little differently. How you and your family celebrate Halloween may be an interesting thing to add to your Halloween Web page. Maybe even include some Halloween photos of you and your family, or friends, celebrating Halloween.

  • Recipes for Halloween - Halloween does have it's own special recipes. Just think about what you would see if you went to a Halloween party. There are all kinds of cool, creepy recipes you can add to your Halloween Web page.

  • Halloween Party Games - Pin the tail on the ghoul or dunking for apples are a couple examples of Halloween party games that you can add to your Halloween Web page. Think up some more Halloween games and add them too.

  • Halloween Decorations and Crafts - Decorating is something people do for every holiday and Halloween's no exception. If you know of some decorations or crafts that people and kids can do for Halloween, add them to your Halloween Web page.

  • Songs and Poetry - There are lots of Halloween songs people can sing during the Halloween season. Add these songs to your Halloween Web page. Include the words on your page so people who don't know the song can sing along. If you know of any Halloween poetry, you may want to add this to your Halloween Web page as well, for a little extra fun.

  • Haunted House - Design a series of Halloween Web pages and link them together to create an online haunted house.

  • Scary Story - Whether you write your own scary Halloween story or start one and have your readers finish it, it'll be a fun thing to add to your Halloween Web page.

  • Halloween Costumes - Show off some of your favorite Halloween costumes on your Halloween Web page. Either add photos of some of your favorite Halloween costumes or link to other Web pages that have Halloween costumes you like on them.

  • Make Some Money - Join up with an affiliate program to sell Halloween merchandise. For every item your Web page sells, you make some money.

  • Link to Other Halloween Websites - If you link to other Halloween websites, and tell them you're linking to them, they may link back to your Halloween Web page. This will help you get more readers to your website.

Halloween Clip Art

Now that you have all your ideas together and are well on your way to designing a Halloween Web page, you're ready to add some clip art and backgrounds. Free clip art is available on the Net to help you design a Halloween Web page. You can find clip art of ghosts, witches, black cats, grave yards, pumpkins, skeletons, bats, and a whole lot more.
