There are some really great Christian Web sites on the Net. Many of these Christian Web sites celebrate the different Christian holidays such as Christmas or Easter. Other's are about Jesus and becoming a better Christian.
When I read one of these Christian Web sites there are some things I look for as a reader. There are also many things that these Christian Web sites all have in common. When creating a Web site about Christian holidays or the Christian faith there are some things you will need and some other things you should consider having on your Christian Web site.
Whether you are celebrating Easter, Christmas or another Christian holiday there are some things you need to have. How about Christian clip art to decorate your Christian holiday Web site. A calender of Christian holidays, something about what Easter, Christmas and the other Christian holidays are about and how you celebrate Christmas, Easter and the other Christian holidays would be a good start too. Hosting - Hosting is where you put your Web site. You need to sign up with a hosting service and put your Web pages online on their server. Choose the hosting service that is right for you and start building your Web site.
Basic Web Design Tips - When designing and writing your Web site there are some things you need to know. Color, layout, graphics are all things that need to be done right to make your Web site look good.
Web Editors - Editors are programs that help you create a Web site. An online editor is offered by most hosting services these days but if you prefer to create your Web pages offline and then add them to your site later one of these might be what you need.
Things To Consider for a Christian Web Site
- List of Christian holidays, including dates. This may need to change from year to year or you could do several lists for several years and then you would only have to update it every few years.
- Explanations of Christian holidays. People outside of the Christian religion may not know what the Christian holidays stand for. Telling about what you do on the holidays and what you are celebrating will help a lot.
- A history. A history of the Christian people but also a history of the holidays that the Christian people celebrate. Why do Christian people celebrate Easter? Christmas?
- Christian traditions. What kinds of things do Christian people do that are different from what Jewish people do or Muslims? Why do Christian people put up a Christmas tree and why do Christian children get Christmas presents or find Easter eggs?
- How can someone become Christian? If someone who is of another religion wanted to become Christian what would they need to do?
- What is a Christian? When you go about your daily life what do you do that makes you a Christian? What does being a Christian mean to you?
- Christian holiday recipes. Nothing catches people's attention more than food. If you have some special Christian recipes or foods you always make for certain holidays you can add to your Web site, please add them.
