In chapter one you will learn to plan your site so that it will flow together easier when you are ready to start creating it. Then in chapter two you will learn to prepare and create your graphics. This includes selecting colors, dithering, and adding drop shadows and motion. Chapter three will teach you how to deal with fonts and text and also to apply style sheets to your pages. Chapter four is where you will learn image maps, tables and forms. Then you will be ready for the exciting stuff. In chapter five you will be learning how to make things move. That's right, I mean animation. If you want a really fun Web page where people will look twice to see what's happening then this will be a necessity for you. In the back of the book is a PDF style guide and a Hex/RGB conversion chart for your reference.
After looking through this book I would have to say that I think this is a great book for learning all there is about creating graphics and backgrounds. With the color coding for different levels of expertise it is easy for you to find not only what you are looking to do but also what you are capable of doing. Then when you feel comfortable with the first level in each section you can move onto the next. Before you know it you will have fabulous looking pages that look more professional than you could have imagined before you started.
