Text Too Large, Too Small

By Linda Roeder, About.com

Problem #5:

Text Too Large, Too Small - You want it to be just right. If the text is too small users with a high screen resolution, or bad eyesight, will have trouble reading it. If the text is too large people will have to scroll to read it.

Solutions:

1. Test your text on a high resolution screen (1024 x 768 and 800 x 600).

2. Try out different browsers, or older browsers, to see how they look.

3. Borrow a friends computer to try out different size monitors.

4. Another problem with reading text is that sometimes the text color is too close to the background color. This makes it hard to read too. Check your colors while you're checking the size.
