(About.com) INTERESTS & HOBBIES SITE PROFILE

Name Of Site: Lisa's Web World

About your site:  part 2

If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
I think I would have started sooner!

What are your favorite things on your site?
My pages about the 70's and 80's, the music clips, my fashion drawings.

When looking at other people's Web sites what do you look for as a viewer?
Interesting content, well-organized, without so many images & tricks that it takes forever to load.

What is "one word" that would describe your site?
nostalgic

Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
I kind of consider myself a web archaeologist, or "virtual museum curator".

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
My pages use a combination of templates and html programming, of which I consider myself an "intermediate" expert at using. If I can't do what I picture, I try to be creative, and find another way to do it.

Why do you think people are interested in your interest or hobby and what you have to say about it?
Everyone is interested in something, and the web is wonderful because it has something for everyone.

What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why write a Web site")?I just like sharing what I enjoy and learn with others, or helping them remember something cool from the past.
