(About.com) INTERESTS & HOBBIES SITE PROFILE

Name Of Site: Baby Borg's Home Page
URL: http://babyborg.homestead.com/

If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
Nothing! It's very random in its current state, but I'm a very random person. I sometimes wish I'd made it more focused, but then it wouldn't be me, and I probably would have lost interest a long time ago. As it is, my website reflects my personality and my life perfectly--random, a little weird at times, in a constant state of change, but ultimately all right. I wouldn't have it

What are your favorite things on your site?
I love The List--it has on it the title of every Nintendo game I've ever played! I'm also very pleased with the new Rants section. I love to write, and I'm full of opinions, and Rants is the perfect place to share my not-quite-normal thoughts.

When looking at other people's Web sites what do you look for as a viewer?
I like a site with lots of content that is well organized and easy to navigate. That's it. Oh, and no super-bright colors! Some colors, like bright yellow and orange, are just too difficult to read on.

What is "one word" that would describe your site?
Random!

Because of your site do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
I'm mainly a writer, but if you read my Rants, you'll see that my thoughts do not move in typical patterns. *lol* A writer, yes, but a unique and different sort of writer.

How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
I just move stuff around on the page and experiment until I get it right. If I start to get frustrated, I just save what I've got and put it aside for a while until a new idea comes to mind.

Why do you think people are interested in your interest or hobby and what you have to say about it?
With my particular assortment of interests (from Star Trek to human rights to children's literature), I think I have something for everybody on my site. Besides, there's always the possibility that someone will come to my site out of curiosity and discover an interest in something new. I like that idea. :-)

What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why write a Web site")?I have two purposes with my site: I love to make people laugh, and I love to discuss issues. On my site I have plenty of jokes, but I also have serious parts (like my Rant about the death penalty) which are designed to present people with another point of view to think about. If I can make someone happier, or cause someone to think, "Hmmm, that's interesting," then I've achieved my purpose.
