Name Of Site: The Not So Daily P@
URL: http://www.planetpat.com
If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what
would you change?
Nothing really. I like the idea I can redesign it at any time.
Do you have any favorite entries?
Occasionally I say something that amuses myself.
What do you look for in an online journal, as a reader?
Good content. Most of the journals I have seen are pretty good, and I really like the dynamic nature of journals.
Do you use your real name in your diary?
Yes, my first name is Planet.
Do you censor yourself in your diary?
Yes, because I like keeping my job.
Do you ever use fiction techniques such
as imaginary dialogue?
No.
Do you ever significantly edit/rewrite past entries?Yes.
Would you describe your diary as
traditional, essay, novel, rant, letter to someone, a theme journal, or
something different?
Mostly a rant. Sometime soon I've though of putting up some general web design stuff there, but haven't decided how to best present it.
What is "one word" that would
describe your diary's content?
Really, really droll.
As an online diarist do you consider yourself
a Web celebrity, an
exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator,
or something
different?
A hermit with an internet connection.
How do you tackle the mechanics of Web
design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what
you envision.
I've never had that problem. I built the site, and it's more dynamic than most other Blogs. I have an adminstration system that's pretty effective.
Why do you think people are interested
in what you have to say?
Because I pay them. It's getting expensive.
What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of "why an online journal")?It's cool. It's also a great way to make money.
