Story By: Carla

I began creating my own personal webpages out of curiosity and also because I wanted to learn the Hypertext Mark-up Language. I began by visiting websites and was particularly interested in and also amazed at the HTml Help For Kids and "the young at heart" created by then 13 yr old Lissa whose site today is still one of the most popular because of the vast amount of information assebled therein. Thus began my curiousity and my quest...

Since then, through trial and error and as my browsing for personal sites became more sophisticated in that I began to crave sites developed with Macromedia's Flash, I soon made a few webpages along the way.

These days, I'm rather interested in the blogging phenomena. I've noticed so many ranging from the personal to the corporate. I recently began my own blog--at first as a test...I wanted to understand what it was that made people bare their lives to the world; I wanted to see if somehow I could be compelled to do the same and to see the extent to which I could go. In the long run, tempted though I've been, I rescinded from the impulse to expose myself (fully), for there are parts of a person that should be kept strictly personal I believe.

In the end however, I find that blogging helps me in my writing. I've learned to zero in on my thoughts and to put it into words. Each time I write, I create myself anew. I am also happy that some visitors to my site return to read! my words for whatever reason, but it makes me feel good that at least I have something worth sharing that others might want to read.
