If you had to do it over again from the beginning, what would you change?
I would back up my files every single chance I get. With my first website, I lost the entire thing...with this website, I lost the entire thing. I guess I didn't learn. Mantra: Back Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you have any favorite entries?
Breathe
What do you look for in an online journal, as a reader?
smart, quirky, funny, plenty crazy and then, in some others, I look for substance and good writing...and people who don't use this"......."a lot...I use a lot of"........"I find it annoying that I do this, but it is how I express my self...this is me......
Do you use your real name in your diary?
I use Anonymous Gurl(cool, eh...I thought so), but in the emails I use my middle name.
Do you censor yourself in your diary?
Nope...you write what you feel or you might as well be working for a not so liberal newspaper...
Do you ever use fiction techniques such as imaginary dialogue?
But, of course, I am a writer...I have short stories and stuff, but I never use imaginary dialogue in the posts.
Do you ever significantly edit/rewrite past entries?
Why? It was borne the way it is on the page...to rewrite would be fraud as you would be altering the feelings you had when you put it down in the first place..gosh, this is a long quiestionaire...need me some diet coke for this one...
Would you describe your diary as traditional, essay, novel, rant, letter to someone, a theme journal, or something different?
A little bit of rant, but it is quite different in that I write about one thing at a time as opposed to what went on in my day...it is more an exercise in prose about what I am thinking at that very moment, hence, the title: Scattered Little Thoughts.
What is one word that would describe your diary's content?
Introspective...
As an online diarist do you consider yourself a Web celebrity, an exhibitionist, a public figure, a writer, an innovator, or something different?
A writer that is somehow a bit different...I am not a celebrity because not too many people have found me on the web...but there is still a chance for me to have a counter on my page boasting the number of visits I have had...hmm...more than 10!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you tackle the mechanics of Web design and how do you deal with your frustrations when you can't do what you envision.
Do it over and over again like an obsessive maniac who can't walk away from it...
Why do you think people are interested in what you have to say?
Cuz, I am introspective and I make people think about their own reality.
What compels you to design beautiful pages and to write from the heart (beyond just the usual question of why an online journal)?
It is in my blood...this creative thing...it is as necessary as my breathing.
