The year-long makeover of MySpace finally opened to the public yesterday and promptly received a bunch of negative reviews from critics.

MySpace Discover page
Fortune called it " a confusing mess." Billboard was more generous, saying it " works well as an on-demand music service, a personalized radio service and an on-demand video service."
The new MySpace, as you've probably heard, is all about music. The splash page touts its celebrity investor, Justin Timberlake, promising to let people hear his new single "Suit & Tie" if they join.
Despite the hoopla, it remains an open question whether the revamped MySpace.com will wind up justifying the 2011 purchase of MySpace for $35 million by a California-based online advertising company, Specific Media.
