Twitter Posting Leads to Burglary

This person believes that his house was burglarized while he was on vacation because of something he posted on Twitter. He posted that he was going out of town, even mentioned when. His Twitter feed was also connected to his Facebook feed. All his Facebook and Twitter "friends" knew he would be gone. Then his house was burglarized.

Be careful what you post online. Everything you post or write about is seen by the public. Never mention where you live and don't tell people when you're going on vacation, as this person learned.

We are so trusting. We post our whole lives online and we tell all. Everyone knows everything. I do it myself. I'm on Twitter and Facebook and I post all kinds of things. I never go on vacation though, and even if I did, I don't have anything valuable to take anyway.
