Add a Calendar to Your Web Site

Wednesday May 20, 2009
Calendars are a fun thing to add to a highly read site or a site that has events or other things going on. Use a calendar in a blog to tell your readers when important events happened or when they can expect certain entries. Do the same with other websites.

The calendar I'm using for this tutorial is by Google, so you know it's good. I'm using Google Page Creator as an example of how you can add the calendar to your website, but you can add the calendar to just about any website in a similar way.

What do you use a calendar for?

I'm using it to create a racing schedule for my son's bike races. He will have a very busy season and I'm hoping that this year some of his family, besides me and his dad, will come watch him race more often. I send them updates but I'm hoping the calendar will help them plan better.
