i used the myspace profile editor and it messed up my page, i cant go back and change anything on it, the background and everything wont change, and i really need help to like make my profile normal, lol, it was cool to use but now i cant edit. whats going on?
If you can’t make changes using the profile editor then you should contact MySpace Support and see if they can help you.
um…. mine too i don’t like the editor now. i used to but it messed up.
Did you try using the Undo button when it messed up? That works wonders.
If you’re doing the editor and you don’t like what you see, don’t click SAVE.
If you’ve already saved and you want to go back, try the Clear All button. When I did this with mine, my profile reverted back to the same style I had before I used the editor.
Seems that the Clear All button only clears what you did with the editor, not what you’ve done with the code.
there is no ‘clear all’ button anymore on the new profile editor. I know how that button used to solve all problems like missing contact table etc. Even after you saved everything you could go back and clear all and it would put it all back to the default letting you used other layouts.
i used profile editor but now ever since they updated myspace every time i click on profile editor it just takes me 2 my profile. i have even tried on my friends computer logged on on my account and it did the same. but it doesnt do it when shes logged on her account. i have tried emailing myspace support but they never replied. plz reply

They must have changed the profile editor because there is no clear all button and I cant undo the changes I made on my profile now. Really makes me mad. I cant add a new background or layout because theres no way to undo the stupid profile editor changes. Even if you attempt to contact Myspace all you get is an automated email telling you useless info. I just dont know what to do

i think its stupid cuz now my page is all messed up and i cant change it back to the way it was before i used it and i really want my page to go back to the way it was before we used this you guys should have told us that you couldnt change the words back i want my profile back tothe way it was
Myspace took out the “about me” section, and there is no way to enter your own layout now. All the free layout pages..useless. You are forced to use myspace’s layouts, and you cant add music players of your own, photos or anything. It basically ruins myspace completely for me. Its a terrible move by myspace.
The About Me section is still there. It’s under the “Blurbs” tab. They sectioned out the profile into different pages, that’s all.
if you looking to edit your profile ie you canot see your about me or who i would like to meet i no what to do i had the same problem.
login myspace and go to profile edit profile click on intrest and personality and there you will see it.
mysdpace has only change the look of some things.

i signed up on my space…..while myspace sent me a e-mail that i need to click on to verify my account, when i try to click on the e-mail that says to complete the process to verify my e-mail address nothing happens.thus not letting me send messages to other myspace people……thanks……..scott

In my “about me” section is all these codes that show up when someone views my profile what have I done?I contacted myspace and what they tell me to do does’t work it keeps telling me to remove codes i don’t know how!I just want my profile back to normal!
In the “Edit Profile” page you’ll see some code. Delete it. Then your profile will go back to a normal MySpace page. If you want to keep some of the code then only delete the code you don’t want. If you’re not sure, save the whole code in a text file in case you need to add it back in later. The code could be in any of the sections on the page.
i used the profile editor, and changed the color of my navigation bar, but i went to take it off, and the profile editor was gone.

Ok,I used the profile editor that Tom just improved even more and it messed up my profile so much.I was scared.My profile was cool and then I couldn’t chanqe anythinq,and my comments and friends were showinq and no code would hide them.Until I realized all you have to do is qo back to the customize thinq and click qo back and then somethinq pops up and asks you if you would like to qo start from scratch or qo back to profile 1.0.
Just click that.And its back to normal aqain.(:

ok listen if u have 2.0 on myspace go to cusimize profile and the click go back and the top of the page next to exit and save the click switch back to profile 1.0 and then comfirm it ur welcome!!!

The new editor stinks!!! It screwed up my whole page. Can’t make any changes, tried going back to old version like they said…it won’t! This is proof that change is not always a good thing! If you are still able to edit the old way, DON’T TRY THE NEW STUFF!! You won’t be able to go back…

I used the profile editor and now can’t go back in to change anything. The profile themes is missing. I’ve contacted myspace support and get no info. on how to actually fix the problem, just how to’s on the profile 1.0 or 2.0 that doesn’t help. Has anyone been able to get this problem fixed?? I emailed customer support regarding the background/profile editor for 1.0 issues and they wrote back and said:

Go to this forum, it gives you a code to get to the old profile editor for 1.0 so you can delete your old background. You can even add a new one but i’m not going to just in case they override this code soon and i’d be stuck with a background again that i dont want!

If you cant clear your old background off from profile 1.0 all you need to do is go to your profile and type &pe=1 at the end of your friend ID. It will take you straight back to profile editor 1.0 so you can change your background.

look at the top of the page above EXIT and PUBLISH
it going to say convert back to 1.0 when you convert, it automatically go to your old profile.

My profile editor really really is annoying me. It wont save anything that I want. It did save changes at first, but when I wanted to change my background it wouldnt save a flipping thing. So now Im stuck with just the default background. Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on. I tried to go back to 1.0 abd that isnt working either.

Myspace…is little bit suck lately. There will be no easy way to correct unless its inventor create it. Are you sure that tom you see is the real tom,tom who is back then? For me, no. I opened an account for a friend. I already prepared the who codes in my open office. Now I wanted to put them into the editor and I saw this strange version of myspace (2.0) was already set. when I click this little arrow (go back) it tells me I can start from scratch but not switch to version 1.0 (the codes are only for 1.0) how can I fix that? is there a way?
Okay. i switched back and forth between 2.0 and 1.0 i have no problem with doing that. the problem is, i want a 1.0 profile.. and it only lets me use “themes.” it wont let me put in my own codes, and it wont let me use my about me anymore… someone help?

I NEEED HELP!! I wannt to change back my myspace profile 2.0 (for business) and it’s really important that I change it back to 1.0 because my clients cant work with it. I went to customize profile and tried to change it back, but it doenst let me. People say to go there and you can switch it back, but it only lets me erase everything on my page and set my page back to default BUT IT DOENST LET ME CHANGE BACK TO 1.O ! Help? I’ve just made a new myspace account. And I got profile editor 2.0. I can’t revert back to profile editor 1.0, my account got deleted. So I had to make a new one. It doesn’t give me the option to go back to the way it used too. I tried eveything everyone said: And I saw nothing that says: “Go back to profile editor 1.0″ This makes me mad because I hate the layouts on profile editor 2.0; -sigh- I hate Tom so much for this.

I have a 1.0 profile, and everytime I put the &pe=1 after my myspace address to edit it, it doesnt work!!! all that comes up is “error on page”. i cant edit my background at all. this is getting on my nervessssss

I have a myspace musicians page. I can change the profile with the personal account. How do you change the profile, background colors, themes, etc for a musicians account. I know what I want my profile to look like. But I don’t see a plain “SAVE” button. It only says SAVE AND PUBLISH. I tied clicking on this but it doesn’t save it???
Gabby, that button should save your profile, and then publish it to your MySpace profile. Have you checked looking at your profile from the perspective of what your friends are looking at. Somewhere on the MySpace page is a link to see what your profile looks like to others. Maybe it did save and publish. Otherwise, you’ll need to contact MySpace support.

the whole blog comment from Mimi really works, it sounds stupid but it honestly gives you the option of switching back to the 1.0 profile. i’m not entirely sure why it does it, or if it’s going to last but you should do that if you just got a new myspace (like myself) and don’t like the new 2.0 layout. i myself, hate the new profile. this will get you back to what you like!

All these comments are mostly about 2.0 version, but the 1.0 version does the same thing. I used the profile editor on the first version and it wont let me change it. I tried putting some other layout on there, and it won’t change. I can’t fix it like all the other posts say to do by switching back to version 1.0 because I never tried the new version to start off with. Even the old version does it. Please help me I dont want to keep the same background forever. I like to change it, but it wont let me. Ok found the solution!! for even the first version 1.0. Here it is.
IF IT SEEMS LIKE IT’S NOT SAVING YOUR CHANGES, THEN GO TO YOUR OWN PROFILE,
AND THEN HOLD DOWN THE CONTROL KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD AND THEN PRESS F5
BEFORE YOU POST A COMMENT HERE THAT SAYS “IT DOESNT WORK….”
1) clear your temporary internet files (your cache)
2) clear your cookies
3) reboot your computer
4) log back in and try it
5) STILL “doesnt work”?
6) try a different browser (if you are using IE, use firefox instead, if you are using firefox, use IE instead)
7) try a different computer (use your mom’s computer, or go over to your friend’s house, and try it using their computer)
