Why Social Networking?

Why join a social networking site? There are many reasons, most having to do with networking, communicating with and meeting new people on the Net. There are other reasons too, some of which have to do with meeting old friends. Other's have to do with meeting people with similar interests as you.

Over the years I've reconnected with several of my old friends from high school. I also use social networking to chat with people I work with. We share ideas and get to know each other better at the same time. Meeting new people in a niche network if fun because we can share experiences and help each other out.
