10 Reasons to Create an Online Photo Album

Thursday July 10, 2008

Online photo albums are lots of fun. They're fun to make and they're fun to look at. They're even more fun when you add a story to go along with your photos. Then your friends and family will have something to read on your photo album and they'll know what's going on in the photos.

When you create your own online photo album you'll want to make it even more personal by letting your friends and family add comments, or even add their own photos. You could even create an extended online photo album. Then the whole family can take part.

I have for you 10 reasons why anyone would want to create an online photo album. When you're finished reading these 10 reasons, if you don't already have an online photo album, you're going to want to create one. If you make your online photo album public, post it here. I'd love to see it.

I have yet to find a site where your blog is private and your friends and family get alerted when there is a new post. This may exist, but I couldn’t find it.

I started a site called phootsteps.com, where your photos are private, and you decided who receives alerts. No account necessary for the recipients of the alert. Perfect for grandma.

The site is now in beta, but I think it’s a great advancement over existing services where visitors are required to have accounts.

Thanks for posting this site. I’m going to look into it and possibly post a link to it from this site.
