Create Your Own Social Network

Having your own social networking site just may be the thing that keeps you in the know, keeps you sane and keeps your friends coming back for more. I have two myself. One is about something personal, the other is about social networking. It's not very successful, but I keep my hopes up that it will be someday. It gives people the chance to talk about the different social networking sites, the good and the bad.

Among Ning, there are a few competitors on the market. Services like http://kickapps.com or http://sixgroups.com let you create your own social networks as well. Which solution works for you, depends on your needs.

Also check WackWall - free, full-featured social network builder. It allows you to use your own domain, also free.
