Internet Information Services help !

Monday June 26, 2006
".......I am trying to set up my PC as an FTP server, so other people can access it (and download files, etc.) from another computer but I haven't had any luck......." "Has anyone used Windowx XP's Internet Information Services 5.1?

I am trying to set up my PC as an FTP server, so other people can access it (and download files, etc.) from another computer but I haven't had any luck.

I already did all the steps and everything but I'm starting to think that maybe this is not possible and I would have to be in a server and not in a simple PC connected to a DSL provider.

I tried to log in to my PC with an user name and password that I created from antoher computer with my IP address but it never makes it.

I already disabled the firewall by the way.

Anyone know if this is possible and if not, are there any other ways besides Windows Internet Information Services to make this possible?" ~robertin75
