Download all Attachments option in Gmail
Friday March 4, 2005
Do you know that: GMail gives you an option to "Download all Attachments". GMail makes a zip file of all attachments.
If you have many attachments in other e-mail accounts (like Yahoo) then you can forward it to GMail and then download the attachments in single click. ~indianhorse2

you know this would be helpful if it was stated how you download all attachments rather than just saying there is an option…i mean come on what use is that??
Agreed, that was a waste of my time.
and why is such a useless “tip” the number one result when I search for “download all gmail attachments”?
duh…the ‘download all attachments’ option appears just above the attachments area
useless
this only works to download the attachments of a single email message, what we need is a way to download ALL the Attachments in our entire gmail account without opening each individual email. (i have over 700 from one group)
Like “outlook express attachment extractor”, but without the bugs, crashes and file duplication.
http://gearmage.com/maildownloader.html does this for you, I believe.
The previous link (gearmage) downloads ALL your attachments for you with a single click to a folder you specify.
